Christmas 2019

Christmas 2019 we spent Christmas Eve and Day with my parents and Mark, Melanie, and Quinn at our house in Madison, WI! Beautiful weather, 54 on Christmas day! Played some board games, watched basketball, open presents, play with new presents, read books, went to see the light show, and had a prime rib feast again. Some memories from these few days:

• Cut the huge line on our way into the Olin drive through lights show. Singing jingle bells on the way to Olin light Show. We sing "Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the waaaaay. Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh! Blow raspberry". Elsie Jr, "Grandpa not singing!" (She wants grandpa to sing with us.
• 54 degrees outside so we HAD to go to the Castle playground!
• Watch Rudolph the Red nose reindeer for the first time, couple other christmas movies like Christmas Story, Mickey Mouse Christmas. I was listening to the sound track to Muppet christmas carol on Spotify and Elsie says, "I don't like it" :( 
• Making chocolate chip pancakes with Grandpas and Elsie says, "I want to put chocolate chips in my mouth"...Grandpa, "Oh ok, see if those will fit in there."

The following weekend we traveled to MN to my parent's house for some TERRIBLE weather. Snow, cold, ice, the opposite of Madison. Laura/Nathan/Mary/Sam went into ditch because of ice on their way over so they were delayed a couple of hours, but thankfully showed up. It was great to see everyone!

• Mary talking about little Elsie, "She's a full on human now" because she can talk and reason, and has likes and dislikes already.
• Big snow storm for our commute home Monday morning, but it was 54 in Madison WI all weekend!
• Little Elsie went sledding for first time and loved it! After 5th time down she was going to go back up the hill and fell in a big puddle though, so we changed and went back out later.
• Checked out Playworks in Prior Lake, MN and def need to go back! Though it wasn't nearly as cool as some of the play places around Madison, MN really needs to improve their indoor playground game!
• Little E and Lena had lots of fun together, lots of hugs and sharing babies and mostly running around in circles at grandma and grandpas.
• Little E enjoyed sleeping in the new baby shark bed at gma\gpa, and she slept good, best ever at a different place.
